It is our intention to develop each person who fellowships with us. We wish to see each one reach their full potential in Christ. To that end we have a number of ministries, some of which are listed here, to help us reach that goal.
It is our calling to change the world for Jesus. To that end we are committed to equipping our people to bring knowledge of the Glory of God to their communities and beyond. We regularly set up at local events, giving away things and meeting people. Monthly, we go into neighborhoods and invite people to church. UR partners with local outreaches to serve and provide meals for those in need. We believe it is our job to reach out and not just expect people to find us.
We value the closeness of small groups. We recognize that the large gatherings cannot provide the type of relationship building and support that small groups can. Members can choose from many diverse groups in different locations. Most are hosted in member's homes. Please contact the office to find a group you would be comfortable in visiting.

We make it a point to offer trips each year, some international, some domestic, to our people. Our people have recently ministered in Ecuador, Haiti, also a Navajo Reservation in New Mexico. In all of those places we have sent numerous teams and have established relationships. The trips are a time of growth for our people as well as a blessing to those we visit.
Men are historically a bit hard to get involved in Spiritual activities. We think one of the reasons is that the church has been trying to make men less manly and make them conform to a spirituality that is more feminine. We recognize that mistake and want men to be men, or more specifically: Godly Men. So our Men’s ministry is designed for men. And it is designed to help men become the Men of God that He intended.
Women
Women’s ministry exists so that women, young and old, are encouraged and challenged in their journey with Christ. UR Women have an event approximately every 6 weeks (September through May). These gatherings will often include elements of the following; places of safe conversation, group testimonies, doing an activity together (paint night, wreath making, floral arranging, etc.), a time of prayer, worship and outreach. We have weekly Bible Study times to grow in our understanding of God and His Word. We also have retreats that are geared towards growth and fellowship. There are outreaches planned in which we ask our women to invite friends and we intentionally and gently welcome them to visit our church.
Youth Group
Youth, 7th through 12th grade, are welcome on a weekly basis to a Sunday night gathering from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Our time consists of fun activities, moments of worship, sharing God's word, snacks, and socializing with peers. Events are held to continually have a safe environment for the teens to grow in their social and spiritual walk. Outreaches are scheduled so our teens are learning about ministering to others.
Children
We believe our children are a vital part of our community and the future leaders of ministry. We offer Nursery and Sunday School at our Sunday second service. For the first part of worship our children remain with us. We feel that involving children in our corporate worship can be instructional and encouraging for both them and us. Then, releasing them to Sunday School, we utilize a Christ-centered curriclum, and provide meaningful, fun and interactive learning that kids will enjoy and remember.
Additionally, the fifth Sunday of each month, the Pre-K through 6th graders all come together for Children's Church. This is a time for siblings and friends of different ages to learn, play games, and make crafts together.
